Tribal council will be tomorrow evening. The contestants will be down to 5 who will go on to compete in the Final Challenge!!! Only one will be chosen as Sole Survivor!

Week 5 Reward Challenge

Well, this challenge has been so fun, but it has had a few bumps along the way. Unfortunately, some sponsor sites have fallen through, but the good news is, amazing ones have stepped in to save the day!

I can't believe we are already into week three of this challenge and about half done! I'm having so much fun! We had an unexpected change in sponsor for this week's challenge, so I came up with the one this week! It's an emotion challenge and hopefully really requiring these ladies to think outside the box and test their design skills.

I am so sorry that I didn't post this last night. For some reason, I got mixed up on my days and thought you all had one more day! By the time it clicked, I was already in bed and felt too lazy to get back up!

Only 16 can move on to the next round, so eight designers will be eliminated at tonight's Tribal Council.

Only 24 can move on to the next round, so two designers will be eliminated at tomorrow's Tribal Council. I know that I led you to believe that an entire team would be going, but hey, this is Survivor! I have to keep you guessing!

Full Kit due tonight

The deadline is upon us for the weekly challenge! Here is the timeline for the next couple of events! If nothing else, I keep you hopping!!!

Just like in the game of survivor, Tribal Council must be held! It's just part of the game! And I want to make a little comment about this. Survivor is just as much (if not more) a social game than strictly about design talent. It really is very much like selling your designs! You can have the very best designs out there, but if you don't know how to market them and advertise them, then you'll never really sell them! So, it's always a tight rope to walk! LOL! This game is very similar, so as we go from week to week, I hope those who are voted off will not take it personally! It is not a reflection on your talent or even you as a person. The truth is, each week, someone or more must go home and that's just how it is!

Okay, enough on that! On to the schedule.

The deadline is almost here! Do you all have your alpha previews and links turned in? The voting will be posted tonight, when the deadline expires. It will be posted here and anyone can come vote. So spread the word! Voting will last from midnight tonight (pacific time) until 3 pm tomorrow afternoon (PST). I will announce the winning team here on the blog at 3 pm, so be on the lookout!

Also, as this is a game that takes place at lots of different sites and forums, know that ALL news, updates, links will be posted here. So, if all else fails, check here for general information. Questions about specific challenges can be asked at the sponsor site. They will know more than me about most things because they are creating the challenge! First Reward Challenge

The First Reward Challenge has been posted! Head on over to our Sponsor, Gingerscraps, to check out the details.

This challenge must be completed and posted in the Brownie Scraps gallery by tomorrow night (Tuesday at 11:59 pm PST). For this challenge, each person is to complete an alpha, but post them together as a team. Meaning one preview with download links in ONE upload spot. Judging will open on Wednesday morning and close Wednesday night. The winning team will earn immunity and some CU survival tools that can be used in future challenges! Good luck and have fun!!!!

Oh, and no Alpha cutters allowed. Sorry girls, you must do it the hard way!

I think most of you have already found your team in the forum section at Brownie Scraps! Everything is ready and we are only hours away from the kick off challenge.

Our first challenge will be hosted by...wait, you didn't think I'd actually tell you! But, when it has been posted in their forum, I will post a link here! Can't wait!!!

Registration is Closed

Registration is now closed! I will be putting the teams together and posting them in the Survivor section at Browniescraps. Teams will be announced on Friday. I have a QandA section set up there too, so feel free to stop by, introduce yourself, ask any questions and become familiar with the rules!

We head out to Island Extraction in just 3 days!!!

Sign ups are almost done...

Okay, ladies, we are down to the final 2 days of sign ups! They will be closed after tomorrow night at midnight. We still have spots open, so spread the word, if you know of anyone who is interested.

Once sign ups end, I will be getting everything organized and ready for Saturday. Once I have an exact amount of people playing, then I will post a schedule of how many will be eliminated each week. I will also assign tribes and make that announcement on Friday night!

I can't wait to get started! It's going to be so fun!

Five Days left...

To get your registration in! It's not too late to spread the word and bring your friends along!

I've gotten a few questions about how things will work, and I'll attempt to answer them here.

1. The product created for this contest will only be available to the public to download for the first week, until Tribal Council. After that, it is yours to do with as you please. Feel free to create extra, and then put it altogether in your store, on your blog, etc.

2. No CU products will be allowed unless you earn them through Reward Challenges. Basically, we're dropping you off on a design island with only your computer and program to survive!

3. There will be eliminations, but they won't be done by me! I'm just coordinating this thing, I'm not even putting together the challenges. Oh, wait, I do get to torture the 3 who make it to the final challenge! And believe me, it will be a doozy!

4. Basically, look at this as an opportunity to stretch your design and creative skills, to create new product you can then turn around and sell, get your name out there and exposure through giving away your designs in the challenge, oh and the best of all--if you outlast everyone else-- you get $200.00 of CU product and 3 months of FREE advertising! Can you beat that?
