Week 5 Reward Challenge

Well, this challenge has been so fun, but it has had a few bumps along the way. Unfortunately, some sponsor sites have fallen through, but the good news is, amazing ones have stepped in to save the day!

Tribal Council and a new challenge

We have moved into our fifth week of Designer Survivor! Three contestants went home last night, and they will definately be missed! Challenge due tonight

Just a quick reminder that your weekly challenge is due tonight. Once the deadline has passed, you may each send me your votes!

This week, 3 of you will be going home! Linda has immunity, so you can't vote for her. For each of the rest of you, please send me your top 3 votes by Friday at 3 pm PST. Tribal council will be held soon after that! Also, if any of you have the immunity idol, and would like to play it, you have to email me with your intent BEFORE the voting ends at 3 pm tomorrow. Next week, will be the last week, the immunity idol will be valid.

New Challenge

I completely forgot to update everything here! I'm so sorry about that!

I can't believe we are already into week three of this challenge and about half done! I'm having so much fun! We had an unexpected change in sponsor for this week's challenge, so I came up with the one this week! It's an emotion challenge and hopefully really requiring these ladies to think outside the box and test their design skills.

**One more update** the more I think about this, with 8 going home, let's have you each pick 3 people to vote off. That way I will be sure and have enough votes to count! If there are any ties, I will look at anyone who received votes last week.

I am so sorry that I didn't post this last night. For some reason, I got mixed up on my days and thought you all had one more day! By the time it clicked, I was already in bed and felt too lazy to get back up!

The voting will work the same as last week.

Only 16 can move on to the next round, so eight designers will be eliminated at tonight's Tribal Council.

Each of you need to email me (by secret ballot) the designer you think should go home. Please cast 3 votes. You can decide this based on someone you thought didn't pull their weight, you can upload each product and go through the items and pick the person who least followed the assignment, is perhaps not really committed to this challenge, etc. You don't have to tell me why you chose who you chose! This is a game about alliances, a social game, as I explained, so you can choose based on that! It doesn't matter! Send me an email at survivor @ browniescraps . com. Well, you ladies were all super nice to me! You posted all the kits an hour before the deadline, so I can post this and go to bed! I'm extra tired tonight, so this is a big help!

Okay, here is how the voting is going to work...

Only 24 can move on to the next round, so two designers will be eliminated at tomorrow's Tribal Council. I know that I led you to believe that an entire team would be going, but hey, this is Survivor! I have to keep you guessing!

Full Kit due tonight

The deadline is upon us for the weekly challenge! Here is the timeline for the next couple of events! If nothing else, I keep you hopping!!!

Just like in the game of survivor, Tribal Council must be held! It's just part of the game! And I want to make a little comment about this. Survivor is just as much (if not more) a social game than strictly about design talent. It really is very much like selling your designs! You can have the very best designs out there, but if you don't know how to market them and advertise them, then you'll never really sell them! So, it's always a tight rope to walk! LOL! This game is very similar, so as we go from week to week, I hope those who are voted off will not take it personally! It is not a reflection on your talent or even you as a person. The truth is, each week, someone or more must go home and that's just how it is!

Okay, enough on that! On to the schedule.

The deadline is almost here! Do you all have your alpha previews and links turned in? The voting will be posted tonight, when the deadline expires. It will be posted here and anyone can come vote. So spread the word! Voting will last from midnight tonight (pacific time) until 3 pm tomorrow afternoon (PST). I will announce the winning team here on the blog at 3 pm, so be on the lookout!

Also, as this is a game that takes place at lots of different sites and forums, know that ALL news, updates, links will be posted here. So, if all else fails, check here for general information. Questions about specific challenges can be asked at the sponsor site. They will know more than me about most things because they are creating the challenge! However, for things like voting, tribal council and where to look for the next challenge will be found here!

First Reward Challenge

The First Reward Challenge has been posted! Head on over to our Sponsor, Gingerscraps, to check out the details.

This challenge must be completed and posted in the Brownie Scraps gallery by tomorrow night (Tuesday at 11:59 pm PST). For this challenge, each person is to complete an alpha, but post them together as a team. Meaning one preview with download links in ONE upload spot. Judging will open on Wednesday morning and close Wednesday night. The winning team will earn immunity and some CU survival tools that can be used in future challenges! Good luck and have fun!!!!

Oh, and no Alpha cutters allowed. Sorry girls, you must do it the hard way!
